Keep an eye on:
Delaware's Big Three: are lethal. Junior guard and former DeMatha sniper Nate Darling is among the top shooters in all of college basketball. Darling leads the team in scoring at 22.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2 assist per game on a ridiculous 50 percent shooting from the field, 47 percent from 3-point range and 72 percent from line. Sophomore floor general Ryan Allen is dynamic in his own right. Allen, who's also a DeMatha alum, averages 14.9 points per game and is knocking on the door of the exclusive 50/40/90 club, shooting 50 percent from the field, 40 percent from deep and 89.7 from the line. Last but not least is Kevin Anderson who may be the best all around player for the Blue Hens. The 6'5 sophomore adds 11.3 points, team leading 4.9 assist, 3.8 rebounds and 1.4 steals per contest on 48.7 percent shooting from the field and 37.5 percent from deep. George Washington guards will need to be on point defensively to contain these three. As they go Delaware goes.
GW Frontcourt vs Justyn Mutts: Will be to me what decides this game. Mutts is a handful due to his versatility and athleticism. He can score inside well (15.2 ppg) and in a myriad of ways, from the block, lob plays, off the bounce, offensive put backs, you name it and he does it when it comes to scoring efficiently inside. Mutts is also a high level rebounder averaging a team leading 9.7 rebounds per game and free throw shooter, knocking down nearly 85 percent for the season. The Colonials will have to deal with Mutts and leaving it to senior Arnaldo Toro who is trying to get back in rhythm after returning from an injury in a win over Boston Wednesday, may be too much to ask from the double double machine at this point. Battle, Offurum, Langarica and Stallings will possibly be called to keep Mutts in check enough to secure another win for GW. Also look out for former Colonial, 6'11 Collin Goss who comes in averaging 7 points and 6.4 rebounds a game.
