2015 MPSSAA 3A State Semifinal - Centennial defeats CM Wright 75-59

Centennial senior point guard Chad Strothers finished with a game high 19 points

College Park, MD - They say defense wins championships and that is exactly what Centennial hung their hat on to defeat C.M. Wright 75-59. From start to finish, the Eagles put the pressure on defensively causing turnovers and turning them into points which overwhelmed the Mustangs. CM Wright senior Mychal Stefanides entered the game averaging 17.5 points a game on 64% shooting, however the Eagles held him to 4 points (1-9 FG) which took the energy from CM Wright for the game. Centennial were led by senior guards Chad Strothers and Isaiah White who finished with 19 and 17 points respectively while Corey Bays (21 points/6 rebounds) and Kyle Harkins (16 points) paced CM Wright. Centennial will face Westlake Saturday March 14th at 3 pm.
