Remember Them Days - John Wall DESTROYS Georgia


Coming into Kentucky as the top prospect in the country and almost certain top 5 pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, John Wall had a lot of hype to live up to during his first and only season leading the Wildcats. Not only did Wall live up to the hype, he exceeded it. In a one and done campaign that saw Wall average 16.6 points, 6.5 assist and 4.3 rebounds a game while leading the loaded Wildcats to the NCAA Elite Eight before falling to a veteran West Virginia team, Wall provided memorable performance after memorable performance however his all around dominance against Georgia gave an accurate glimpse into the future. Georgia would keep the game close before Wall took over, scoring 24 points on 8 of 10 shooting including three 3-pointers and handing out 6 assist to lead Kentucky to an 80-68 win. It was the type of performance that had NBA scouts drooling over the 6'4 blur from North Carolina and it was ultimately, one of the reasons why the Washington Wizards would select Wall 1st overall in the 2010 NBA Draft.
