2015-2016 Spotlight - Kansas Jayhawks Frank Mason III

Frank Mason III- Point Guard/ 5'11/ 185/ Junior/ Petersburg, VA/ 12.6 PPG/ 3.9 RPG/ 3.9 APG/ 44.1 FG%/ 78.6 FT%/ 42.9 3FG%

The talent and toughness was never in question for Kansas junior point guard Frank Mason, the intangibles were. Now fresh off a breakout sophomore season where he was arguably the most improved player in the Big 12 and having led the U.S. to the gold medal in the World University Games, Mason appears ready to put it all together and emerge as one of the best point guards not just in the conference, but the country. Yes, opponents should be worried. Mason who is one of the more difficult guards to defend off the bounce is also a dead eye shooter from three point land, he connected on 42% during his sophomore season. While he is capable of getting his in bunches, Mason is also a good distributor and defender. Last season, the Jayhawks made it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, with a more mature Mason, expect the Jayhawks to be a final four threat this season.
