Severn School Falls To Mount St Joseph 73-48

Mt St Joe's guard Randy Miller and Severn School guard LJ Owens battled all night

In MIAA hoops action, the Severn School hosted powerhouse Mount St Joseph. The Admirals led by star sophomore LJ Owens would rise to the occasion in the first half, leading 15-11 after one and then keeping it close at the half 28-27. The second half was a different story and the Gaels proved why they are MIAA contenders year in and year out. Mt St Joes led by junior guards Darryl Morsell, Justice Kendall and one of the top sophomores in the country in 6'8 center Jalen Smith, would blow the game wide open ultimately winning 73-48 to move to 2-0 on the season. Severn, despite a valiant effort for most of the game, fell to 0-2.
