Red Claws Guard Marcus Thornton Takes FLIGHT

After playing the majority of the 15-16 season with the Sydney Kings of the NBL, Thornton joined the Maine Red Claws of NBA Developmental League earlier this month to further his career along with eyes on being called up to the NBA in the near future. Playing in two countries and two professional leagues in your rookie season can be a tough adjustment for most players, Thornton has took it all in stride. Averaging 12.6 points, 2.8 assist and 2.4 rebounds on 45% shooting from the field and 42% from 3-pt range in just 25 minutes per game forces you to take notice of his talent. It seems Raptors 905 didn't get the memo. Watch as Thornton goes airborn to dunk home two of his 19 points over the Raptors front line.
