In a battle of two of the top high school girls basketball programs not just only in the DMV, but the country, Monacan (VA) led by Connecticut commit Megan Walker's 36 points defeated National Christian Academy (MD) 73-61. It was a game that saw Monacan build a double digit lead in the first half before NCA senior point guard Mykea Gray put the team on her back. The Miami commit, exploded for 19 of her team high 23 points in the second half to keep NCA close, however, her offensive explosion wouldn't be enough as Walker matched her point for point late to help Monacan pull away. Senior guard Jaiden Morris (Rider) posted 12 points which included three 3-pointers to pace Monacan, while senior guard Olivia Martino (Lafayette) added 16 points including five 3-pointers for National Christian Academy.
