Friendly guard Darius Bowman finished tied with a team 17 points including the go ahead basket late in the fourth
It was a battle between long time PG County rivals that went down to wire, however, the host Patriots simply wouldn't be denied. Led by guard Darius Bowman who scored the go ahead basket along with 12 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter, Friendly took down Crossland 74-70 for their first win of the season.
Crossland, who were led by guards Marquette Hildebrant (24 points - Game High) and Fred Crowell (22 points), fought their way back in the fourth to tie the game at 70 with 31 seconds left. Friendly moved the ball around and found a briefly open Bowman in the corner who drove baseline and knocked down a floater with 11 seconds left to put the Patriots up for good. Friendly forward Sevell and point guard Bilal Dixon help pace the Patriots with 17 and 13 points respectively.
Friendly will travel to take on Edison Saturday at 4pm.
