The Washington Mystics were coming off a road win in Minnesota, their fifth win in a row and the win that clinched them a spot in the post season. The Mystics were the first team in the league to clinch, Natasha Cloud also became the franchise leader in assists with a pass to Elena Delle Donne in the first half of that game.

Riding a five game win streak, the Mystics hosted the Indiana Fever this afternoon at the Entertainment and Sports Arena. It didn't take long for them to make their five game win streak extend to six. They beat Indiana 107-68 while hitting a WNBA record 18 three pointers in the contest, it was also a franchise record. Washington also hit the high for points scored in a game this season.

Elena Delle Donne led the way with 25 points and nine rebounds, Aerial Powers scored 19 points and Ariel Atkins had 14 points. Every member of the Mystics that played in the game scored at least once.

Tiffany Mitchell led the Fever with 17 points, Teaira McCowan had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

From the opening tip Washington made it clear that they had no desire to have their win streak snapped. They were very sharp on both ends of the floor as they started the game with an 18-2 run. Indiana did respond in the second quarter where they out scored the Mystics 24-19 to cut the once 20 point deficit to as little as seven at one point and trailed just nine at the half.

Once again, the Mystics made a big third quarter run. Using their defense to fuel another run, they would outscore the visiting Fever 36-19 in the period. The 36 points were a season high for Washington, Delle Donne scored 11 points during the quarter.

The ball movement by Washington was consistent, regardless of who was on the floor. They had a season high 30 assists to just six turnovers. It was a complete performance by the Mystics. Displaying their offensive firepower and depth, that depth allowed them to wear down the Fever.

Washington has a few days off before returning to practice, they will face the Chicago Sky on the road next Friday night
