As a perennial top 25 program now VCU has proven they are definitely here to stay. What former VCU head coach Anthony Grant started, current VCU head coach Shaka Smart has taken to a higher level. With the success of the mens basketball program, pro scouts now make VCU a destination to scout talent. Former VCU standouts Eric Maynor (OKC, Washington, Portland), Larry Sanders (Milwaukee Bucks) and now Troy Daniels (Houston Rockets) have made the jump to the NBA level and proven they belong while current VCU star guard Treveon Graham is definitely on the NBA radar following a breakout junior season and brilliant summer playing against the best of the best in such prestigious camps like the Kevin Durant Skills Academy and CP3 Guard Camp. Expect the list of VCU basketball players in the NBA to grow fairly quickly in the upcoming future.
