GW Junior Guard Joe McDonald's Buzzer Beating Follow Pushes The Colonials Past Dayton

By Cardell Dudley

It was a back and forth battle between two of the A-10's best, however, the difference maker all night would end up deciding the outcome. As junior guard Kethan Savage drove the lane in the closing seconds of overtime resulting in a block, McDonald in one smooth motion grabbed the rebound and quickly converted the game winning put back to push GW past Dayton 65-64. The win moved GW in a 3rd place tie with Dayton in the A-10 standings, while also snapping the Colonials two game losing streak. McDonald finished with a game high 19 points (8-13 FG/ 3-7 3FG) and 4 rebounds. Take a look at the amazing final sequence below.
