NYIT's Darian Hooker Is As LETHAL As They Come

"Normally I would never vouch for any player unless I feel strongly they can play but you have to do something on this point guard name Darian Hooker. He plays D-II, averaged 30 and led the nation in scoring. He is official!"

This was the statement I heard from my lifelong friend Matthew Horne, currently a fast rising motivational speaker as well as publisher (check him out at http://www.matthewchorne.com/index.html) and a former standout player in his own right at Surrattesville High School and Coastal Carolina. He knows basketball and does not offer praise easily. With that being said, I immediately started my research of Darian Hooker. What I saw definitely caught my eye and impressed me. Hooker shredded opponents at will averaging 28.3 points ( led NCAA Division II) and 4.8 assist per game as a senior guard for the New York Institute of Technology during the 14-15 season. The Washington DC native and former standout at Maret has every skill needed to be a productive point guard. He can handle, shoot with range, has excellent court vision and passing ability as well as sneaky athleticism that allows him to blow past defenders consistently on the offensive end, and lock them up on the defensive end. Allow me to put it simply, he is a problem. Pro level teams invest a lot of their resources into scouting all over the globe looking for promising prospects who could potentially help them win games. However even with the advancement in that area, there are still players who fall under the radar who have the talent, drive and work ethic to thrive at the professional level. In my eyes, Hooker is definitely on the fast track to being one of those players. Don't just take my word for it....see for yourself.
