Duo George Walker and Charles Snowden combined for 46 of St Alban's 70 points to defeat Eastern High School in overtime 70-66. Eastern senior guard/ forward JaMarko Pickett finished with 23 points, 13 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks. St Alban's started off on fire, executing and scoring at will to take a 20-12 lead after one. Eastern showing the inner city grit that DC hoops is known for fought back, led by standout 6'7 point forward JaMarko Pickett 14 points to cut the lead to two as they trailed St Alban's at the half 32-30. The second half saw a back an forth affair featuring St Alban's duo of George Walker (25 points/8 rebounds/5 steals) and Charles Snowden (21 points and 8 rebounds) vs Eastern's duo of Pickett and guard Isaiah Dickerson (13 points/ 9 rebounds). However, we would need overtime to decide the winner as both teams were tied at 59 at the end of regulation. In overtime, Snowden converted a big time 3-point play to give St Alban's the lead, fouling Pickett out in the process and they would eventually, go on to knock off Eastern 70-66.
