Green And Mitchell Dominate; McNamara Advances

McNamara senior forward Sam Green was unstoppable all game long in leading Bishop McNamara to a 51-42 Quarter-final win over host Bishop O'Connell

With junior guard Jamir Moultrie sitting out, McNamara needed players to step up to fill the void. Senior forward Sam Green and freshman center Makhi Mitchell came through big time to help lead the Mustangs to a 51-42 win over O'Connell. Green, a Drexel commit, finished tied for a game high 19 points while adding 7 rebounds and Mitchell posted a monster double double with 15 points and 14 rebounds. O'Connell behind the shooting of Randall Gaskins Jr (19 points), jumped out to a 16-10 first quarter lead, however, the Mustangs behind the stellar inside-outside play from Green and Mitchell, would outscore O'Connell 41-26 the remainder of the game.

McNamara will take on St Johns's in the first WCAC Semifinal game Sunday at American University at 4:30pm.

Highlights of the game can be found below.
