St John's vs Bishop McNamara -

It appeared after a dominant first quarter in which St John's held a 15-2 lead, that the Cadets would cruise to a semi-final victory due to a very cold start offensively from the Mustangs. Then Bishop McNamara woke up. Sparked by freshman center Makhi Mitchell's (15 points) continued standout play on both ends in his first WCAC playoff run and a offensive explosion from junior guard Jamir Moultrie (16 points), the Mustangs would outscore the Cadets 33-21 over the second and third quarters to take a 38-36 lead. In the fourth, senior point guard and Maryland Terp commit Anthony Cowan (19 points) showed why he is one of the best players in the country, as he knocked down multiple contested 3-pointers late to help lead St John's to a 63-57 win over McNamara.

Guards Jeffrey Dowtin Jr and Dejuan Clayton both added 12 points for St John's, while senior guard Ernest Jenkins and senior forward Sam Green posted 9 and 7 points respectively.

In a rematch of last years WCAC Championship, DeMatha and Gonzaga once again would battle, this time in the semi-finals. Last season Gonzaga walked away victorious and of course, was looking to do the same again. This time....DeMatha wasn't having any of that. Led by Markelle Fultz 21 points, the Stags would roll to a 79-66 win and it wasn't that close. DeMatha had it going on both ends in the first half from the very first play, a DJ Harvey dunk, and would ride that momentum to a 46-28 first half lead. Gonzaga, led by point guard Chris Lykes game high 28 points would fight to try and mount a comeback in the second half, however the Stags would prove to be too much walking away victorious.

Stags high flying junior DJ Harvey finished with 15 points while senior sharpshooter Nate Darling added 14 points. Gonzaga wings Nigel Stewart and Eddie Scott posted 13 and 12 points respectively.
