2016 APBL Playoffs - Nova Hawks Fall To the Beltway Bombers 112-93


Nova Hawks fall to the Beltway Bombers 112-93 in the 2016 APBL Quarterfinals. Boo Jackson posted a game high 27 points and forward Ed Jones added 23 points for the Hawks while Danny Sumner and Derrell Armstrong led the Bombers with 23 and 18 points respectively. The Bombers jumped out to a 11-2 lead to the start the game led by the hot shooting from guard Derrell Armstrong. Nova would storm back behind the shooting of forward Ed Jones and a strong defensive effort from the team to keep the game close, trailing the Bombers 24-20 after one. From then on, the Bombers turned up the intensity, behind the efficient inside outside play of forward Danny Sumner and outstanding playmaking from guards Brandon Simms and Chris Howard, the Bombers would outscore the Hawks 88-73 the rest of the way cruising to victory. The Bombers will take on the Rockville Victors in the APBL's final four April 16-17.
