Owls Cruise In Win Over Chesapeake For Fourth Straight Victory

Freshman forward James Hagins finished with 10 points including this poster worthy dunk against Chesapeake

In a balanced offensive attack, Prince Georges Community College (11-3/ 4-1) enjoyed a 78-62 win over visiting Chesapeake College (0-12/0-7). Both teams fought off early nerves and off shooting to a 16-16 tie early in the first half. The Owls however settled down and went on their now customary run, jumping out to a 41-25 lead at the 2:49 mark thanks in large part to the 3-point shooting from freshman guard Dexter Turner, who converted three from deep in the half. Chesapeake answered, going on a 10-4 run to close the half, although PGCC led 45-35.
