Harford women's caps off a 13-0 MD Juco run with the tournament championship
They were the heavy favorites coming in due to being undefeated in MD Juco conference play and Harford women's validated that expectation. The Lady Fighting Owls (25-2/ 13-0) led from start to finish as they defeated Baltimore City Lady Panthers (18-9/10-2) 96-81 to capture the 2017 Maryland Juco Conference Tournament championship. A balanced attack from Harford was too much for BCCC to overcome. Sophomore guard Dominique Walker led the way with a game high 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 steals while freshman guard Adrienne Jones posted 22 points, MD Juco player of the year Daisa Harris added 16 points and 6 assist, sophomore guard Danielle Durjan contributed 18 points, 8 assist and 6 rebounds and freshman forward Dahnye Redd finished with a double double, 14 points and 11 rebounds. Baltimore City was led by sophomore point guard Natasha Roy's 21 points and 9 rebounds and sophomore guard Brittany Hinton's 20 points off the bench.
