Morales Game Winner Helps The Owls Edge The Panthers For The Championship

After knocking off top see Harford in the semi's PGCC (19-8/9-5) had to quickly regroup to take on a dangerous Baltimore City (18-10/10-4) team . The Owls came ready to play, the problem was the Panthers came ready too,and what followed was a flat out war between the two teams. The game came down to the final 12 seconds with the Panthers leading 62-61. Sophomore forward Chad Andrews- Fulton was at the line shooting a one an one, he missed, PG freshman guard Alex Morales quickly grabbed the rebound. Morales raced up court, shook two Panthers defenders to get into the lane and shot a runner that rattled in, giving the Owls a 63-62 lead with 3 seconds remaining. Baltimore City in-bounded to point guard Haneef Vaughn Wilson who dribble the length of the court and launched a floater at the buzzer.....no good! PGCC guard Alex Morales finished with 20 points and 17 rebounds while being named MVP, freshman guard Mykal Johnson was huge off the bench with 20 points on 7-12 shooting from the field. BCCC was led by Vaughn-Wilson's 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assist while forward Andrews-Fulton finished with a double double 10 points and 13 rebounds.
