Defense Falls Apart Late; Washington Goes Down To Orlando



Fourth quarter breakdowns defensively reared it's ugly head again for Washington as they allowed 38 points in the final period, ultimately falling in their home opener to Orlando 130-120. Washington saw Orlando shoot 50 percent from the field, 35 percent from the field and 79 percent from the charity stripe in the loss.




Brad Beal led all scorers with 39 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals. Russell Westbrook once again added a triple double with 15 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists while Thomas Bryant added 19 points and 5 rebounds.


Orlando was led by Terrance Ross (pictured above) 25 points off the bench. All star center Nikola Vucevic added a double-double with 22 points and 17 rebounds, and DMV product Markelle Fultz posted 21 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds in a winning effort.
