At The Focus, we’ve watched Duke freshman Khaman Maluach’s rapid development and rising draft stock, detailing his rare blend of size, mobility, and defensive instincts at just 7’2". The South Sudanese center brings elite rim protection, switchability on the perimeter, and a steadily improving offensive game that includes a soft touch and emerging shooting range. For the Washington Wizards, Maluach would provide a foundational defensive anchor and long-term interior presence to complement their young core. His ability to run the floor, alter shots, and eventually, post up and space the floor, makes him a strong fit in Washington’s rebuild, potentially forming a dynamic two-way frontcourt alongside rising forwards Alex Sarr and Bilal Coulibaly.
Watch below an all new episode of The Probe as Maluach's game is evaluated in it's totality and how it would fit well with the Wizards, if they are to potentially land him in the upcoming NBA Draft.
