Keep an eye on:

HEALTH: That's it. Washington can't afford for more players to go down or assistant coach Latoya Sanders will have to suit up again.

Natasha Clouds Return: Washington missed her in a LOT of ways. The Mystics are 1-4 without her, with their last win coming against the Seattle Storm back on June 22nd. We all know Cloud is the consummate floor general, leading the team in assists with 5.7 per game, but her leadership and defensive impact were greatly missed as well. I wouldn't be shocked to see rust early on but I also expect Cloud to push through that to make her usual all around impact. Washington needs it to go into the Olympic break with a much needed win.

Ariel Atkins: finding her rhythm shooting the ball. The first time Olympian has shot 15-48 (31%) from the field and 5-21 (23%)from 3-point range over Washington's last four games, all losses. The Mystics struggle shooting the ball as is, ranking next to last in the WNBA in field goal percentage (40.6%) and tenth in 3-point shooting (33.5%), therefore Atkins has to get back to providing efficient outside shooting to open things up for the rest of the team, especially Tina Charles. With Cloud returning, Atkins won't have to worry about point guard duties and she can get back to playing like what she is....one of the elite all around guards in the WNBA.
