Keep An Eye on:
Playing Smart: and not beating themselves in any way is most important in keeping things competitive and having a chance to defeat the BLAZING HOT defending champs, New York Liberty. Washington can't shoot 28% from the field liek they did in a blowout loss to the Liberty back on May 30th. They can't allow nearly 50 rebounds, allow 23 assists and allow the Liberty to physically dominate them.
New York comes in to tonight's game, 1st in the WNBA in field goal percentage (48.6%), 1st in three point percentage (38.6%), 2nd in free throw percentage (82.3%), 3rd in rebounds per game (36.6), 1st in assists per game (24.3), 3rd in steals per game (9.1), 1st in blocks per game (5.7) and last but not least, they're 1st in the W, averaging 91.9 points per game.
The Liberty are a well oiled machine. They're deeper this season in their quest to repeat as WNBA Champions. Washington has to take smart shots, keep their turnovers down, defend for a full 40 and execute their offense in an efficient manner. If they do, they will have a chance to give the Liberty their first loss of the season. If they don't, it'll be a repeat result from May 30th.
