Go-Go force 31 turnovers in win over BayHawks

The Capital City Go-Go moved to 2-1 on the season with a 106-89 win over the visiting Erie BayHawks. Their defense allowed them to overcome a slow start, forcing 31 turnovers in the contest that led to 35 points.

There was balance across the board for the Go-Go, as six players scored in double figures. Jalen Jones led the way with 18 points and Jalen Hudson added 14 points.

Jalen Adams led all scorers with 21 points, but Capital City made it a point to limit his ability to get others involved. Adams came in as half of the higher scoring backcourts in the G-League alongside Josh Gray, Gray didn't play in this contest. The visitors definitely missed having another playmaker on the court.

The BayHawks did make a run late in the third quarter, closing the gap to as little as three points. The Go-Go responded with a 20-3 run in the fourth, showing off their depth to close the game out.

Erie's Zylan Cheatham had another monstrous double-double with 11 points and 19 rebounds, one of the six BayHawks to score in double figures.

Capital City's guards were on display in this one, Hudson and Ike Iroegbu impacted the game on both ends. It was a good showing, the challenge for the Go-Go is getting a similar type performance on the road.

Up next, Capital City will host the Wisconsin Herd at the ESA on Sunday.
