Overall Evaluation:

Toppin was one of if not the most exciting player to watch in the college ranks due to his versatility and explosiveness around the basket. He caught people’s attention as a redshirt freshman last season, then got on the NBA radar due to an impressive run at the Nike Skills Academy, cementing him as a first round pick. Toppin took things further having an all american season and is now in the running for the top overall pick, which speaks volumes not just about his talent but his will and work ethic is a prototype forward in today’s NBA. A athletic freak with size, shooting ability from all three levels, length and skill which enables him to make an impact at both forward spots. With him being a late bloomer, I feel he still has a lot of room to grow. I see a Shawn Marion type impact coming from Toppin. 20,10,5 should be the norm as he adjust to the rigors of the NBA.
